Cat Sighting
The elusive, wild cat has been spotted! Beware, she may look sweet but this animal can be quite feisty. On a side note, two of our three bedrooms now look like this. This move is turning us into hoarders! I'm just waiting for Child Protection Services to knock on my door. Megan

Balloon Lover
We spent several hours yesterday furniture shopping. I was a little worried ahead of time about keeping Lydia entertained so we could shop. The second the salesman handed her a balloon, it was no longer a concern. Balloons are (still) the best in Lydia's book. Throughout the store you could hear Lydia's excitment "StaRRR! It's a staRRR (she has a really good r sound)!!!" Megan

Cast Away!
Lydia is cast-free and loving every minute of it! She did not cry a single tear as the loud saw cut open the cast. She is one tough cookie. Megan

Learning to Embrace the Chaos
March was a month of anxiety with so many upcoming changes. Soon we will be leaving the Navy. Though a positive change, it will entail taking a pay-cut while moving cross-country to one of the most expensive cities in the U.S. Our well-loved condo will become a vacation rental for mostly strangers. Thankfully, this past week brought me some peace. Things are starting to come together with the move and I am learning to let go more. Though I may try to control everything, I am slowly loosening my tight grasp with each new change. A good thing. Our house in San Diego will be a rental. It will not be perfect but it can still be a sanctuary. Only some people will mistreat our condo but it will not be something new carpet or paint can't fix. Lastly, we will be "put-out" for awhile during our move but hey, it is an adventure and hopefully one that will bring us some laughs along the way. Megan

Easter Smiles
I had been looking forward to having our own egg hunt at the condo Easter morning, a holiday that hasn't received much attention in previous years. John and I were all smiles as we filled colorful, plastic eggs with M&Ms, Reeses and goldfish crackers the night before. Lydia was all smiles when she woke up to find the eggs. No diaper change, no milk--we just went right to the sugar! And to top it all off, Lydia opened Easter basket goodies, sent so thoughtfully from my friend Jessica. Playdoh and candy marry perfectly! Beach Easter Egg Hunt
Though Lydia was not a fan of the Bunny, she did fall in love with jelly beans and also got a good start on her tan! We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!!! Megan

A Little Sadness
John and I are certainly going to miss this, and so will Lydia. Pretty much daily, she runs to the closet where we keep her beach toys and asks "beach?" Today was a perfect beach day for Lydia as the tide left puddles along the shoreline, perfect little swimming pools to pounce in. Megan
