Pink eye and a new ER Rauschenberger record. Left the hospital with medication in hand in LESS than 90 minutes!  Seriously, our speedy visit did make my day.  I was prepared to spend half the day there.  Megan

To Grandma, From Jack

Dear Grandma R,

I wanted to personally apologize for not smiling in our family photo.  As you probably recall, my tummy was bothering me.  This does not accurately portray how much I loved our time together.  You made the best Easter egg hunts.  Plus you played A LOT with me at the kitchen table.  Thank you, thank you for giving Lydia a new set of ponies.  Lydia's interest in these new ponies meant she relinquished control of her princesses so that I may play with them.  About that, thanks for not judging me on my obsession with the snap-dress princesses.  What can I say-I love undressing the ladies!  Also, thank you for taking excellent care of my sis and I both on Friday night for my parents' Dining Out and again on Sunday when they went on a motorcycle ride.  They have been in such great moods ever since.  I can get away with anything!

Lovin' it

This photo was taken a few weeks ago while filling up the pool.  That week was chilly, making it difficult for Lydia to have her first true swim.  However, John added a solar cover and temps are rising.  We also have a solar heater on the way.  The past two days, water temps have hit a comfortable 80 degrees and Lydia is in swimming heaven.  Yesterday she swam for over two hours.  Megan

Soccer Shot

Lydia is half way through her soccer season and gaining confidence.  She no longer uses her hands and is able to dribble and pull back the ball well.  Lydia becomes slightly angry when she does not score during scrimmages.  Her competitive nature is coming out!  Almost everything in her daily routine has become a competition in which she likes to be the winner.  Megan

Two Sous Chefs

Have I mentioned that Jack wants to do everything he sees Lydia do?  Tonight I had two sous chefs helping me make cheese pizza.  The short one was a tad messy.  Megan

Staying Home

As you may have noticed, I don't post many pictures of myself.  Most days, I'm in comfy running shorts and sweatshirts, no make-up.  My morning beauty routine is simply a shower.  Thankfully the kids don't mind my basic look.  I had a dream last night, well more like a nightmare, about the complications of returning to work.  I woke up relieved to think I still have at least a year left of being a stay at home mom.  Megan

Happy Easter

Hunted for eggs, got goodies from the Easter Bunny, went to a kid's party at the Sector, and ate too much candy.  Now Easter is reportedly Lydia's favorite holiday, above Halloween and Easter.  Megan
