I know it is not good to project your desires upon your children but if there was just one thing I could wish for Lydia (other than her health, happiness and well-being of course) it would be for her to play soccer. She doesn't have to be a super star, just a member of a team at some point in her young life. I dream of loading up the van with water jugs and shin guards, leaving the field at the end of the day slightly pink and hoarse, and stopping at Fazolis on the way home. Is that so much to ask for?
