Happy Memorial Weekend
It seems like both our kids have gone through recent growth spurts. They are both unbelievably big to John and I! Lydia's fourth Birthday is finally on the horizon, though she has been talking about it for months. This year's celebration will be Elsa from Frozen themed and take place at Chuck E Cheese. Lydia is most excited about her Elsa-shaped mint chocolate chip ice-cream cake. Megan

Pony Movie
Add videographer to my resume! Lydia has discovered a series of videos on YouTube that are simply kids playing with their ponies. It inspired her to make her own movie. Click on the link to view out masterpiece. Megan

Padres Baseball Game
Yesterday was Coast Guard Day for the San Diego Padres Baseball Team. The kids and I headed to Petco Park to watch John's flyover, timed perfectly to the end of the national anthem. He and Lydia were also featured on the jumbotron once he joined us for the game, which I sadly missed while taking a bathroom break. Lydia and Jack enjoyed their first balloon animals, a flower and sword. It was a exciting day at the park. Megan

Shot Time for Jack
Jack had a checkup this week with his doctor. He is in the 80th percentile for head size, 60th for length and 37th for weight. He now has a free pass to eat whatever (so lucky!). His favorite word is "uh oh" and he says it a lot! His favorite new game is to run battery-operated trains under the couch from one side to the other. The only concern from the doctor is that he still uses a bottle. Jack loves his bottle. This is going to be tricky. Megan

Mother's Day 2015
My celebration began with a movie and pizza date with Lydia. We saw "Home" which I highly recommend! I also enjoyed a long afternoon nap on new bedsheets. However, my favorite part of the day was watching the kids play in the bath at the end of the day. They are just so great.
An aside, I may have mistakenly left the house on Saturday with kids in tow leaving the front and back doors wide open. When I returned I called the police, believing we had been robbed. I didn't want to enter the house with the kids. Three cop cars arrived with dog and guns drawn. No signs of forced entry, nothing missing. Oops, my bad. This was a embarrassing reminder that I need to slow down.

Feeling the Love
This was hanging in Lydia's classroom.
I love my mommy because...
Lydia: She lets me get ice cream after dinner.

Definitely a Girl
I have fond memories of playing with my mom's makeup when I was a kid. Lydia gets more girly each day. She is now ready to head to the garden. Megan
