Pink Goggles
A trial YMCA pass and extended season at our local pool meant we took the kids swimming six times in eight days. I'm proud of that. "Pink goggles." This was Lydia's request, which was happily granted. All the pool time meant lots of practice swimming without the floatie. Lydia can now float on her back and tummy. She can doggie paddle for four feet. She even started treading water. Lydia starts formal swim lessons in October. Our goal is to have her swimming independently for our trip to Navarre at Thanksgiving. Megan

Clothing Basket Fun
It was Lydia's idea to take turns with Jack crawling into her clothing basket and covering one another. I was nervous how Jack would like it, certainly didn't want to scare him. He was a little hesitant at first to the game but quickly came around. We have played this game more than once. Megan
San Diego Evenings
Probably John and I's favorite thing about San Diego is the lovely evenings. It is warm during the day so we usually use our two AC units during the afternoon (lifesavers!). But around five-thirty, we open up the house and head outside. The temperature drops substantially as the sun descends and the breeze picks up. Dinner, and all it's stressors, is over. We water our plants, play puzzle, ride the bike/wagon, chase Lucy or kick the ball. It is the perfect way to unwind from the day. An aside, it was Lydia's idea to put her arm around Jack on the final photo. I was touched. Megan

Toss a Cheerio
I know I am supposed to teach Lydia not to throw food but when it gets Jack to laugh, I let it slide. So thankful for Lucy's help with the clean-up. Click on the link. http://youtu.be/Syksrz9jhEU. Megan

Splashing with Jack
Multiple trips to the pool, along with his evening baths, have turned Jack into quite the water baby. Click on the link to view the video. Megan (credit to John for video)
